Goals:
- Improve and increase positive relationships
- Get more involved in classroom instruction
- Increase direct PLC involvement
- Improve equity within the building
METHODS: HOW WILL YOU PURSUE THESE GOALS?
- Positive Relationships: "make deposits" in relationships through one-on-one conversations and articulating positive observations
- Classroom Instruction: look for evidence of EEI approaches and other positive approaches by teachers within the building
- PLC Involvement:
- Sit in on a PLC meeting per week (unless needs elsewhere require otherwise).
- Listen and ask questions to better understand what is going on
- Provide insight when asked or when it's prudent
- Improve Equity Within the Building:
- Work with Iowa State University to best accommodate their study of our building culture
- Address needs of those needing better understanding and balancing that with what is already working well here.
- make deliberate efforts to have conversations to better understand others as well as get a feeling for the direction of the building climate
ASSESSMENT: HOW WILL YOU KNOW IF YOU'VE MET THESE GOALS?
- Positive Relationships: this is an ongoing personal goal, qualitative rather than quantitative-- based on feeling and impression
- Classroom Instruction: mark and monitor # of observations
- PLC Involvement: mark and monitor # of PLC meetings attended AND participated in
- Improved Equity: measures determined by ISU staff, but # of meetings will be documented
