CHEMISTRY TEACHERS
GOAL:
- Students score in the Proficient or Above Proficient range in the end-of-course exam.
METHODS:
- Pre-test for units and/or quarters to measure student prior knowledge
- Adjust instructional time and depth of focus for content delivery
- Post-test results compared among teachers in PLC's; discussion focused upon which methods of delivery were most successful
- Adjust instructional delivery based upon consensus findings of the PLC group
WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT THE KIDS THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL?
- talk to the student and contact the parent/guardian
- reteach the concepts on an individual level
