Journalism Lesson:
Pamela offers her students an authentic way to experience the work of a Journalist. Students are given the basic outline of an event, a list of sources or witnesses, and a deadline by which the story must be pulled together and polished.
Information the students are given:
You've been given as assignment to cover a recent campus evacuation. Interview three sources to find out what happened. Write a news story explaining what happened and using quotes from people who were involved.
People/Sources to interview:
Pamela makes the experience more authentic by enlisting the help of several teachers around the building. The following teachers were graciously willing to give their time to act as sources.
