Cameron Gale and Greg Hudson
American Heritage
Over the
summer, Greg Hudson and 5 Model U.N. students met with seven diplomats from
around the globe. He was able to secure
this connection through Janet Norton at the Iowa International Center. Janet contacted Greg again this fall with the
opportunity to have students meet with International Journalists, who happened
to be in Iowa learning about the U.S. political system and culture.
On Friday, Cameron
and Greg hosted Journalists from 20 countries in American Heritage. While visiting Valley, the Journalists also
visited Kelsey Hudson’s AP World Classes.
Students were in small groups and had the opportunity to learn about
politics, culture, and everyday life of a variety of countries. Students were highly engaged in conversation,
inquisitive about the countries represented, and genuinely interested in
learning more about the world.
