GOALS:

  • PRIMARY: Students will rate as Proficient on the 10 minute oral exam.
  • SUPPORTING GOAL: Students will get to know each other using Spanish target language.
METHODS:
  • Students converse in Spanish about a given topic or recent experiences.
  • Teacher observes,  then asks clarifying questions (formative assessment); tracks observations of the procedures
  • Teacher follows similar procedure regarding writing, listening,  and muted video for cultural understanding (such as gestures, expressions, body language, etc.)
WHAT DO YOU DO IF A STUDENT DOESN'T GET IT?
  • provide examples in English
  • informally redirect in target language
  • provide pictures
  • review details of the rubric
  • ask and answer student questions
